Blue Star gains over 3% on duty relief

Shares of Blue Star rose over 3 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the Government extended an excise duty concession by six months till December 31, 2014. The relief, as announced in the Interim Budget, was originally scheduled to end on June 30. The shares of company rose as much as 3.76 per cent to trade at Rs 296.30 a piece on the BSE. In a similar fashion, shares of the company rose 3.02 per cent to Rs 295 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 25,186.06, down 127.68 points or 0.50 per cent at 11.06 hours.
