HDIL gains nearly 4% as Citigroup buys shares

Shares of HDIL rose nearly 4 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after Citigroup bought shares in the company on Friday, traders said. Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius Pvt Ltd bought 4 million shares in the company or about 0.96 percent of the equity, in a block deal The shares of company rose as much as 3.56 per cent to trade at Rs 100.35 a piece on the BSE. However, shares of the company rose 3.51 per cent to Rs 100.35 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 25,373.13, up 273.21 points or 1.09 per cent at 11.05 hours.
