L&T buys Ramboll’s 50% stake in L&T-Ramboll Conslt

Indian multinational conglomerate Larsen & Toubro Ltd on Tuesday announced that it has acquired 50 per cent of stake in L&T-Ramboll Consulting Engineers Ltd (LTR) hitherto held by Ramboll Denmark AS.
Now, L&T-Ramboll Consulting Engineers Ltd has become the wholly owned subsidiary of L&T, the company said in a statement.
Further, the company will continue to offer single point ‘concept to commissioning’ consultancy services for infrastructure projects like airports, roads, bridges, ports and maritime structure including environment, transport planning and other related services, it said.
After acquisition, the company is proposed to be renamed as ‘L&T Infrastructure Engineering Ltd’.
Commenting on the acquisition, Board Member and Senior Executive VP (Infrastructure and Construction), S.N.Subrahmanyan said, “This acquisition is a significant move to strengthen our EPC offering in the infrastructure sector. With a track of successful projects and international exposure, L&T Infrastructure Engineering will be providing engineering services for major infrastructure projects.”
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company informed, “L&T acquires Ramboll’s Stake in L&T-Ramboll Consulting Engineers Limited.”
