Gupta Synthetics Q1 loss widens to Rs 10.32 cr

Yarns producer and seller Gupta Synthetics Ltd on Wednesday has reported an increase in its standalone net loss at Rs 10.32 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014, weighed down by higher expenditure and finance costs. “The standalone net loss of the company stood at Rs 8.78 crore during the same period a year ago,” said Gupta Synthetics Ltd in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange on August 20, 2014. However, the standalone total income of the company increased by 17.5 per cent at Rs 15.3 crore during Q1 2014-15, as compared to Rs 13.02 crore during the same period last year. Meanwhile, shares of the company were trading at Rs 3.78 a piece, down 4.79 per cent, from previous close on BSE at 15:18 hours.
