Kalpataru Power Transmission surges nearly 6% on new orders

Shares of Kalpataru Power Transmission rose nearly 6 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on receiving new orders worth Rs 560 crore. The major orders include transmission line projects in Kargil and from Power Grid Corporation and a pipeline laying project from Indian Oil Corporation.
The shares of company rose 5.64 per cent to trade at Rs 227.50 a piece on the BSE.
Similarly, shares of the company rose 5.35 per cent to Rs 227.25 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 27,472.12, down 27.30 points or 0.10 per cent at 11.27 hours.
