Eicher Motors gains nearly 5% on bourses

Shares of Eicher Motors rose nearly 5 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the government on June 25 announced the decision to continue with low excise duty for six months till December 31 for auto sector. The shares of company rose as much as 4.17 per cent to trade at Rs 8050 a piece on the BSE. However, shares of the company rose 4.22 per cent to Rs 8055.20 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 25,373.13, up 273.21 points or 1.09 per cent at 11.05 hours.
