Essar Oil up nearly 5% as board approves delisting

Shares of Essar Oil rose nearly 5 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company said its board has approved the promoter’s proposal to delist company’s shares from the stock exchanges. The shares of company rose as much as 4.98 per cent to trade at Rs 113.80 a piece on the BSE. However, shares of the company rose 4.97per cent to Rs 114.10 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 24,962, down 143.51 points or 0.57 per cent at 1.33 hours.
