G E Shipping takes delivery of ‘Jag Vishnu’

India’s leading oil, gas and dry bulk commodities transporter Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd on Wednesday said it took delivery of a Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) known as ‘Jag Vishnu’. Now, the company’s total vessel strength stood at 29, including 21 tankers and 8 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 9.7 years aggregating 2.37 mn dwt. In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company informed, “G E Shipping takes delivery of a Very Large Gas Carrier.” Meanwhile, shares of the company closed at Rs 365.90 a piece, down 2.07 per cent, from previous close on BSE.
