Power Grid Corporation gains nearly 2% on

Shares of Power Grid Corporation nearly 2 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the Central transmission utility approved investments of Rs 5,500 crore for upgrading networks in about 4 years. The shares of company rose as much as 1.18 per cent to trade at Rs 133.20 a piece on the BSE. However, shares of the company rose 1.22 per cent to Rs 133 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 25,336.80, up 305.48 points or 1.22 per cent at 10.49 hours.
