Sesa Sterlite rises nearly 2% on promoter stake

Shares of Sesa Sterlite rose nearly 2 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company said the promoters have raised their holdings in the past one and half month via open market through creeping acquisition route. The shares of company rose as much as 1.58 per cent to trade at Rs 301.75 a piece on the BSE. In a similar fashion, shares of the company rose 1.89 per cent to Rs 302.45 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 25,336.80, up 305.48 points or 1.22 per cent at 10.49 hours.
