Astral Poly Technik rises nearly 3% on strong Q1 results

Shares of Astral Poly Technik rose nearly 3 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after reporting a strong 72 per cent year on year (yoy) growth in standalone net profit at Rs 20.45 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014 (Q1), on back of higher sales. The plastic products maker had profit of Rs 11.89 crore in the same quarter last year. The shares of company rose as much as 2.90 per cent to trade at Rs 672 a piece on the BSE. Similarly, shares of the company rose 3.06 per cent to Rs 672.90 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 25,836.19, up 194.63 points or 0.76 per cent at 10.45 hours.
