Arvind join hands with American children apparel retailer to open 50 stores in

Arvind today said that its arm, Arvind Lifestyles Brands has entered into a franchise agreement with The Children’s Place, the largest pure play children’s specialty apparel retailer in North America. “Arvind Lifestyle Brands is expected to open 50 stores over time beginning in the fall of 2015,” the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. Commenting on the development, Arvind, Chairman and Managing Director, Sanjay Lalbhai said, “We are extremely pleased to bring The Children’s Place to India. The Children’s Place will be the first of its kind children’s retail format in India. It will be a one stop shop for children from infants to 14 year olds. We are delighted to bring The Children’s Place to India which I am confident will be a big attraction for all mothers with young children in India. Meanwhile, shares of the company closed at Rs 252.75 a piece, up 0.38 per cent on BSE at 15:50 hours.
