Bank of India has informed BSE that in the exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (a) of sub section (3) of section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970/1980 read with sub clause (1) of the clause 3 and sub clause (1) of clause 8 of The Nationalized Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provision) Scheme. 1970/1980, the Central Government has appointed Shri R. Koteeswaran, Executive Director of the bank as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer in the Indian Overseas Bank from the date of assumption of charge of the post. As such he ceases to be a director of the bank w.e.f. January 01, 2015.
