Force Motors swings to profit in Dec quarter

Automobile manufacturer Force Motors Ltd on Friday reported that it swung to profit at Rs 9.99 crore in the October-December quarter, boosted by rise in revenue from operations and other income.
“The standalone net loss after taxes of the company stood at Rs 8.37 crore during the same period a year ago,” said Force Motors Ltd in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange on January 16, 2015.
Further, the standalone total income of the company increased by 7.8 per cent to Rs 516.92 crore during Q3 2014-15, as compared to Rs 479.48 crore during the same period a year ago.
During the quarter, the other income of the company grew to Rs 13.24 crore, as compared to Rs 9.09 crore in Q3 FY 2014, the company said in a statement.
Buoyed by earnings, shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,244 apiece, up 2.25 per cent, from previous close on BSE at 14: 42 hours.
