Cipla denies on stake sale to MNC

Leading drug maker Cipla Ltd on Wednesday said that the news which is published in the leading financial web portal saying its promoters plan to sell stake to MNC is speculative. The company explained in response to the clarification sought by Exchange. In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company informed, “This news item is purely baseless and speculative in nature. We have consistently denied such rumours in the past and continue to do so. From the enclosure forwarded by exchange, we observe that the news item has appeared on a website’s message board over which company has no control.” Meanwhile, shares of the company closed at Rs 425.15 a piece, up 2.98 per cent from previous close on BSE
