AstraZeneca gains nearly 3% on shareholders nod for delisting

Shares of AstraZeneca rose nearly 3 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company said it has got a shareholder approval for voluntary delisting of equity shares of the company from the stock exchange. The shares of company rose as much as 2.71 per cent to trade at Rs 1140 a piece on the BSE. In a similar fashion, shares of the company rose 2.53 per cent to Rs 1141.40 a piece on National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 24,962, down 143.51 points or 0.57 per cent at 1.33 hours.
