CG receives order for wind project in Netherlands

Avantha Group Company CG, along with other consortium partners Fabricom and Iemants has bagged a Euro 150 million contract designing, delivering and installing a wind project in Netherlands. "Avantha Group Company CG, along with the other consortium partners Fabricom and Iemants, has been selected by Van Oord Offshore Wind Projects, for the offshore wind project in the Netherlands," Avantha Group said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. CG's scope of work in the project will be design, deliver and install equipment for wind power project. "The volume of the order for the consortium is in excess of Euro 150 million (Rs 1,200 crore approximately) of which CG's scope covers approximately 30 per cent of the overall contract," the statement said. The project is expected to start in the second quarter of 2014 and to be completed in 2016. The total 600 MW of installed capacity will produce electricity for over 7,85,000 households which equals a reduction in emissions of 12,50,000 tons of carbon. CG will design and engineer the electrical HV (high voltage) system, manufacture and supply all key equipment and connect the onshore substation to the high voltage grid.
