Tecpro Systems’ slips into losses in March

Engineering company Tecpro Systems Ltd saw business taking a dip in January-March quarter on the back of sharp decline in revenue from operations and rise in finance costs. The company slipped into net loss at Rs 232.90 crore in March 2014. “The standalone net profit after taxes of the company stood at Rs 4.29 crore during the same period a year ago,” said Tecpro Systems Ltd in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. Further, the standalone total income of the company decreased by 84.7 per cent to Rs 132.12 crore during March, quarter 2014, as compared to Rs 860.82 crore during the same period last year. The finance costs of the company grew at Rs 150.45 crore, as compared to Rs 87.88 crore during the same quarter last fiscal. Despite weak earnings, shares of the company were trading at Rs 30.90 a piece, up 2.83 per cent, from previous close on BSE at 12:57 hours.
